Lights, Camera, Ketchikan!

Our Northern neighbours are basking in the glory of awards time, after a Ketchikan TV production grabbed six Telly Awards, which honor the best of local regional and cable television.

The Ketchikan Story Project, picked up Silver and Bronze Awards for a variety of categories, recognition for the work put into the series by the Ketchikan Visitors Bureau, which received funding from the Ketchikan Gateway Borough.

Among some of the key aspects of the project is a look at Ketchikan's history in the Fishery, it's Native Legacy and the bounty of Artists that the region plays home to.  Two new chapters to the series are set to premiere on May 3rd as the Project examines the Timber Years and The Bush Pilots.

The series has proven to be a popular method of providing information about the region to visitors to Ketchikan's thriving Cruise ship sector.

You can learn more about the Ketchikan Story Project from its interactive website which you can find here.
