Twin Temblors for Northwest of Port Hardy on Saturday afternoon


A pair of earthquakes, rumbled north of Port Hardy once again, the Saturday afternoon temblors' most likely aftershocks from the 5.0 quake recorded on early Friday morning.

The first of the two jolts came at 11:48 Saturday morning, a 3.9 quake located 205 km West of Port Hardy.

The second quake was recorded twenty minutes later at 12:11 PM, a slightly larger quake of 4.3 magnitude, this one a little closer to Port hard at 194 kilometres to the west, off the North coast of Vancouver Island.

No damages were reported from the latest temblors and no tsunami warning or watch was generated from the seismic shifting on Saturday.
