Familiar Northwest name prepares to enter Prince Rupert Commercial sector

Just in time for the Christmas gift giving season (and Valentine's Day following it) comes a familiar name in Northern British Columbia retail, set to make it's entry into the Prince Rupert Commercial sector.

Carter's Jewellers, which has locations in Smithers, Terrace, Prince George and Quesnel, is in the process of setting up their new Prince Rupert location, taking over the space that was home to Manson's for over half a century.

With Manson's closing last month, the Carter's sign was quick to take up space in the window, with work currently underway inside to ready the location as the latest addition to the chain.

Their arrival, will keep the level of jewellery stores in the city at three, with long time fixtures Cook's and Harris and Wick still favourite locations for Rupertites looking for those special gifts for any number of occasions.

No timeline has been provided on the Carter's website or their Facebook page, but with Christmas but two months away, it would seem likely that they will be opening their doors to North Coast residents sooner, rather than later.
