Rainmakers retain Fourth place ranking heading into Northwest Zones

The final Provincial rankings before the Northwest Basketball Zones were released on Wednesday, and for the second week in a row the Charles Hay Rainmakers hold down the number four spot in British Columbia.

The Provincial AAA rankings were posted to the Vancouver Province website on Wednesday afternoon, and for the Rainmakers the placement marks familiar territory, for much of 2015 the Charles Hays Senior Boys have been placed at either 5th or 4th place.

And while it adds to the lustre for the Charles Hays program this year, for this week they mean absolutely nothing for the most part. As the Rainmakers face a win and advance situation this weekend, with as Challengers from Smithers and Terrace set to arrive for the Northwest AAA Zones.

The tournament tips off Thursday evening as Caledonia takes to the court, looking to derail the Rainmakers return to the Provincial championship in Langley in Mid March.

Game time tomorrow evening is 7:30 at the Charles Hays Gymnasium.

Check back with the blog tomorrow for our Preview of the weekend ahead and anchor page for results to follow through to Saturday's finals.
