Prince Rupert's Cow Bay Marina project gets underway

A huge crane looms over the Atlin Terminal this morning as work gets underway on the creation of more Marina space for the North Coast.

Staff at the Prince Rupert Port Authority were quick to their cameras today, to provide the notification that the project has been launched.

The project which was announced in March, will create an additional 51 spaces for yachts and other vessels that travel along he Pacific coast.

Broadwater Industries was awarded the wharf construction project, which will include a 600 foot public wharf for residents to take advantage of.

The project is anticipated to be completed and operational by the end of July, with the official opening set for sometime in the fall.
