Prince Rupert Port Authority prepares tariff increases, offer opportunity for comment from port users

The Prince Rupert Port Authority has outlined a number of proposed Tariff increases set to take effect on June 1st 2015.

Among the increases planned for two months time, a 2 percent increase on harbour dues, as well as a 2 per cent jump in the current Wharfage fees that are charged to containers.

The Port will also be making a number of changes to some Fee structures, with four categories in line for revision.

They include:

The Green Wave Program, where modifications to the tier of eligibility will be put in place.

The implementation of a new fee structure for Lighterage Fees.

An additional item to be be listed for Water Fee Services for users other than vessels at Ridley Island.

And the implementation of a new fee structure, called the Ridley Island Project Cargo Rail Fee, to be assessed on cargo movements making use of the Ridley Island rail trackage.
