Blog Watching, Week ending May 24, 2015


The LNG files once again grabbed the bulk of attention over the course of the week, with two announcements related to the Pacific NorthWest LNG project finding a large audience over the last seven days.

When our readers weren't focused on topics related to LNG, local concerns found their way onto the reading list.

Rounding out the five most read items of the week, a request for assistance from the local RCMP and items related to the City's Tax bills and job opportunities push also captured the attention of blog readers this week.

Leading off the review, the Provincial government and Malaysian energy giant Petronas sign on to a Memorandum of Understanding for the proposed LNG project for the North Coast.

Province lays the LNG foundation, now waits for Petronas to finance and build -- The announcement of a Memorandum of Understanding between Petronas and the BC Government found a large audience on the blog this week  (posted May 21, 2015)

Pacific NorthWest LNG proposal back on the clock at CEAA  -- After a lengthy break to review information, the CEAA process for the Lelu Island proposal started up again  (posted May 19, 2015)

City of Prince Rupert ready to accept applications for casual labour pool  --  The latest career opportunities in the City's current hiring push found an interested audience this week   (posted May 20, 2015 )
