RCMP seek assistance in downtown Break and Enter

The Prince Rupert detachment of the RCMP is seeking the assistance of the public in an event that occurred in the downtown core in the early hours of May 10th, with the RCMP investigating a break in at the Galaxy Gardens Restaurant in the 800 block of 3rd Avenue West.

As part of investigation which took place around the 1:30 point in the morning, it was determined that a glass door had been broken and a number of bottles of alcohol had been stolen from the premises.

In a media release issued on Monday, RCMP Spokesman Constable Matt Ericson expanded on the investigation and the nature of assistance requested from the public.

“At this stage of the investigation police have been unable to identify any potential suspects ...  As this event occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning and during the busy rush of bar closing we are hoping that someone may have witnessed the incident, and are urging them to come forward.”
