Terrace RCMP investigating Saturday morning homicide

An call to an incident at a residence on the 4600 block of Lakelse Avenue in Terrace overnight has resulted in the opening of a homicide investigation by the Terrace detachment.

With RCMP investigators looking to Terrace residents for additional information related to the events of the early hours.

Few details have been released regarding the nature of the incident, other than an advisory that around 3 AM this morning Terrace RCMP responded to the call at the Lakelse Avenue address and discovered a 25 year old man suffering from a wound.

The nature of that wound was such that the man in question subsequently died as a result of the injury that he suffered. Terrace RCMP further noted that they have arrested a 19 year old woman in connection to the death early this morning.

A full investigation into the incident is now underway, conducted by Terrace RCMP, Terrace General Investigation Section, Forensic Identification Section and the North District Major Crime Unit.
