Three day Junior golf camp opens today

An opportunity for youngsters to pick up some clubs and learn more about the sport of golf gets underway this morning at the Prince Rupert Centennial golf course.

The Junior Golf Camp starts up at 9 AM, with three sessions set from Monday to Wednesday August 12th. Each day's session runs from 9 AM to 1 PM and includes a lunch for participants.

Instruction over the three days will include both work on the driving range and on the course as well.  The program is designed for youth ages 10 to 13.

Cost of the three days of instruction is $199 per child.

You can see if space is still available for this week by calling the golf course at 250-624-2000

The Junior golf camp is the latest project taken on by the golf course this year to work towards growing the game in the community.

In late July we noted the range of special pricing and promotions taking place at the golf course through the month of August.

Updates on Golf Course notes can be found from their Facebook page.
