Prince Rupert Minor Hockey gets behind Hazleton Arena quest

North Coast residents are being asked
to make sure their vote counts as
the Hazeltons look to seek funding
for a new rink in the community
Minor hockey players in the Hazelton's are going to get a little bit of help from the North Coast in their quest to get a new rink for the community, that after the existing structure was condemned earlier this year.

Last week an on line voting project got underway where people interested in offering up a vote of support can log onto to the Aviva Community Fund page, wither by using a valid email address of Facebook account.

Hard up in the Hazeltons

From there, you can vote once per day for the Hazelton's project,  when the first wave of voting comes to an end on October 23rd, the top five projects receiving votes will move on to the next phase where the projects will be evaluated.

The Prince Rupert Minor Hockey Association put up the call to lend a hand on their website last week, you check that out here.

Some background on what they're trying to accomplish can be found from this video on the fundraising project

You can also find out more about the project from the Facebook page created by the group in the Hazeltons.
