Rushbrook Boat Launch closed at times until Friday as crews look to bring project to an end

The nice weather and tide cycle has provided for the perfect conditions to put the finishing touches on the Rushbrook Boat Launch project, with the final bit of work on the bottom of the ramp to take place today through Friday.

Because of that, the Boat Launch is now closed until 3 PM on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with residents encouraged to make use of the District of Port Edward's boat launch site until the Prince Rupert project has wrapped up.

The capital improvement project has seen a number of improvements made to the east side facility, work began in October with the pre-cast concrete panels installed on the site  of boat launch and other improvements made to the boat launch.

In April Council was told that the estimated cost of the project was to be around 200,000 dollars, with the full amount to be covered by the Rushbrook Area Improvement Fund

The notice was posted to the city's website on Wednesday morning.
