Special Events Society Annual General Meeting offers chance to volunteer

It's a dedicated core group of local residents that year after year bring us the Children's Festival, Canada Day Festivities and Winterfest, though when it comes to community events, the Special Events Society is probably best known for their tireless efforts that bring the Seafest celebrations to life as Prince Rupert heads into summer.

To get such a list of events off the planning page requires help however and on Tuesday the Prince Rupert's Special Events Society is looking to see some new faces signing up as part of their Annual General Meeting.

The Society will be meeting in the Lower Level of City Hall (Entrance By the Fountain) at 424 - 3rd Avenue West tomorrow night with a start time of 7 PM.

A chance for those that may wish to lend a hand to stop in and learn more about this years plans and to share their thoughts and enthusiasm in bringing some of the projects together for 2016.

A preview of what's coming up for the year can be found here.

You can find out more information about the AGM and the Special Events Society by calling 250-624-9118, as well you can review more about the group from their website or Facebook page.
