Children's Festival Arrives Saturday at Civic Centre

One of the sure signs of the imminent arrival of Spring on the North Coast is the annual Children's Festival, this year celebrating its 25th year of Family Fun Activities at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre.

Presented by the city's Special Events Society this years even features some of the usual favourites of the Bouncy Castle, Tattoo and Face Painting and Wall Climbing with Laser Fish and Laser Tag part of this years event as well.

Those are just a few of the many activities and games available to participate in through the popular North Coast event.

Good Time Games, the city's highly acclaimed destination for local youth will be also be at the Children's Festival at the Civic Centre Saturday, offering up a sample of what youngsters can find every day at their downtown location.

Doors Open at 11 AM with the event running until 4 PM, Admission is by Donation, providing for an inexpensive five hours of fun for families from across the North Coast. Organizers do ask however that every child that is attending the event be accompanied by an adult.

The event is put together thanks the volunteer efforts of the Prince Rupert Special Events Society and once again has benefited from the support of Prince Rupert's Business Community, Service Organizations and Prince Rupert LNG.

The success of the previous 24 editions of the Children's Festival has been through the turn out of volunteers to help make the event a popular one for the city's youngsters, this year like years in the past, there is still a need for volunteers for Saturday's event and you can offer up your services by contacting the Special Events Society at 250-624-9118
