Seawolves off to fast start at Port Alberni tournament

So far so good for the Prince Rupert Seawolves Midget Hockey team as they so far remain undefeated at the Tier 4 tournament taking place in Port Alberni.

Facing competition from Coquitlam, Burns Lake, Surrey, Windermene and host Port Alberni the Seawolves have hit the ice with three consecutive wins in the first two days of tournament action.

Sunday they collected wins in both the morning and afternoon, topping Surrey by a score of 6-1 in the morning match up, while loading up on the goals in the afternoon with an 11-1 victory over the host Port Alberni team.

Monday saw the Seawolves in a much tighter match up, taking on a tough Windermere squad squeaking out a 2-1 victory to remain undefeated heading into today's action.

The Prince Rupert team returns to the ice this afternoon at 4:45 when they face off against Coquitlam.

Wednesday morning they have one final regular tournament game against Burns Lake, with the prospect of a Finals berth on the line with their games from today and tomorrow morning.
