PRMHA notes high level of interest in Rep Team program tryouts for 2016-17

The ice at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre featured the welcome sound of blades digging into ice mixed with the voices of youthful excitement and coaching direction in late August, as the Prince Rupert Minor Hockey Association hosted Tryouts for its Rep program for both Bantam and Pee Wee travelling squads for the season ahead.

The Tryouts took place from August 23rd to 30th and featured returning players, new hopefuls and players from the PRMHA House Leagues looking to make the step up to the Rep program.

A few photos of the try out sessions were provided to the PRMHA website as part of their update on the launch of the Rep Hockey program for the 2016-17 season.

Parents of those players selected for the teams are reminded that the Parent Code of Conduct and Fair Play Code Form must be signed and returned prior to players being placed on the various rosters.

You can review those forms below:

The full Minor hockey program at the Civic Centre will soon be in full operation for the year, the first of the practices both for Rep teams and House league squads set for September 6th.

You can keep up to date on all the developments with the PRMHA through the season through the hockey association website or Facebook page.

As part of the launch of the season ahead Prince Rupert Minor Hockey is hosting the HCOP Officiating Clinic on September 10th, starting at 9 AM.

The Deadline for Registration for that clinic is September 8th.
