Two Days of craft shopping arrive Friday at Kaien Island Craft Fair

The shiny new surface of the Russell Gamble Gym will get its first significant work out this weekend, as the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre complex plays host to the annual Kaien Island Craft Fair.

Once again this year, the Craft Fair will span two days, with opening night arriving on Friday from 6 until 9 PM, while Saturday brings a full eight hours of opportunity from 9 to 5 to view some of the creations from the city's growing artistic community.

The 41st edition of the annual event will also bring Crafters and Artisans from Telkwa to Dodge Cove to the city, providing for a range of unique arts, crafts and ideas just in time for the Christmas season.

The displays found at the Civic Centre make use of pretty well every nook and cranny available with the gift suggestions offering up a glimpse at some of the artistic presence found in the region, with table after table holding everything from pottery to jewelry, photography to candles and many other items, many of which celebrate life on the North Coast.
