Eckess and WolfPack hoping to climb the rankings into second half of U Sports season

Kyler Eckess is part of a
strong WolfPack bench
looking for more time on the
court as the 2016-17 season
moves ahead into January
The U Sports Canadian University season is moving along at a fast pace and for another former Rainmaker, the next level of basketball is providing for a whole new level of competition.

Kyler Eckess has been getting some spot duty through the first half of the season for the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack, with Eckess part of a deep bench that has been inserted into play over the course of the first ten games of the 2016-17 campaign

Eckess and fellow Northwest baller Trent Monkman of Smithers are part of a good mix of veterans, returning players and newcomers to the WolfPack,  a group who are starting to gel on the court nicely as they stake a claim to eighth place in the Competitive Canada West conference.

With a fairly set starting five, the Prince Rupert sophomore has to be ready for any instance and opportunity that comes along.

The WolfPack program is one of hard work through the pace of practices and off court training sessions, making ready for the moment to grab some time on the court when the tap on the shoulder comes from the coaching staff on game days.
