Rampage fund raisers for Salvation Army Food Bank set for Saturday and Sunday

Your chance to skate end to end with the Prince Rupert Rampage (or depending on the pace of Saturday night's game with the Smithers Steelheads maybe just a leisurely lap around the rink) comes up this Sunday, as Prince Rupert's CIHL team hosts its annual Skate with the Rampage Event.

Sunday's skate takes place from 4 to 5:15 at the Jim, with admission to the event that of a donation to the Salvation Army Food Bank.

There will be Free Skate Rentals available and team players will be available for autographs, photos and some thoughts on the CIHL season so far.

Refreshments, activities and more are planned for the hour and a bit of exercise and holiday spirit.

You can also get a head start on your help for the Salvation Army Food Bank program, with the Rampage offering Free Admission to all kids who bring some non-perishable food items to Saturday night's game against the Smithers Steelheads.

The Saturday event will also feature appearances from Oscar the Grouch, Elmo, Santa Claus and
Cookie Monster who will be taking part in the Player signing activity following the game.

Kids attending will also be eligible for prize bags for the best signs and loudest cheers, while their parents might have some cheering to do on their own, should they collect on the over 1,000 dollars in Program Draw giveaways planned for Saturday night.

You can find out more about the plans from the Prince Rupert Rampage Facebook page.

More notes on the Rampage can be found on our archive page here.
