4.0 temblor recorded off Vancouver Island this morning

Another temblor in the 4-5 mg range was recorded this
morning off the coast of Vancouver Island


The latest in moderate temblors has been recorded off the British Columbia coast, this one, like many of those previous was listed as Southwest of Port Hardy, recorded at just before 8AM today.

The quake is listed at 4.0 magnitude, with a depth of 10 kilometres and was placed 204 kilometres SW of Port Hardy.

It was recorded by the USGS at 7:50 this morning.

That area has seen an increase in the number of recorded events since January, though owing to the centre of the event, there have been few indications that the seismic event has had any impact on those living on Vancouver Island.

No Tsunami warning was generated as part of today's event.
