Senior Girls Rainmakers at Provincials

It's One tournament down (the Junior Boys having just brought their trip to Langley to an end) and one just underway, as the Charles Hays Senior Girls are the next basketball team up from the North Coast ready to take on all comers, this time at the AA Girls Provincials.

The Langley Entertainment Complex once again plays the host as the best in BC Girls High School Basketball take to the court from today through to Saturday's finale.

The Senior girls claimed their NorthWest Zones title ten days ago and since then have been in preparation mode as head coach Anna Ashley and Assistant coach Sarah McChesney worked them through practice sessions in the lead up to their trek south of Monday.

Practice time is over however and it's game time with number three ranked Vernon the first team up for Rainmakers, with a tip off set for 3:30 today.

Heading into their opening game the Senior Girls were placed at 14th seed in the Tournament selection period. You can get a head start on tournament action with a review of the AA Tournament selection program from last week, available for viewing here.

You can follow the progress of the Rainmakers at the AA Provincials from the Tournament website here.

As it was with the Junior Boys tournament, you can tune into the Girls action though the Stretch Internet Pay Portal, which has daily and tournament rates available for those wishing to follow tournament games through to Saturday.
