Graduation season at NWCC means Awards to be handed out


Another year of post-secondary education is about to wrap up at Northwest Community College's campus locations across the region and with the convocation ceremonies soon to take place, so too will be the range of Awards that will be presented to those who have excelled in their studies.

NWCC is also set to present awards to deserving recipients in three categories away from the classroom and to put together their list they are turning to the community for assistance.

The college is seeking nominations in three categories for 2017 with the recipients to be honoured at the Spring Convocation. They are looking for your nominations for the following:

Community Service Award

Honouring a person that has supported or promoted Northwest Community College and/or Northwest BC communities in a significant way. The award nominee should be from one of the 34 communities NWCC serves and should not be an employee of NWCC.

Distinguished Alumni Award

Honouring a graduate of NWCC that has made an outstanding contribution to the social, cultural, or economic well being of NWCC, NWCC students, or the communities of Northwest B.C.

Employee Recognition Award

Honouring a member of the NWCC staff or faculty that had gone above and beyond the expectations of their job description to support a student-centred environment and/or promote NWCC in a positive way. This person will have demonstrated NWCC's values; transformative, adventurous and integrity.
