Northern Savings to host Annual General Meetings through May

It's AGM season for Northern Savings Credit Union

An opportunity to learn how Northern Savings Credit Union has done over the last year and what plans they have in place for the remainder of 2017 will be available for Prince Rupert residents tomorrow night.

It's AGM season for the Prince Rupert based financial services organization and Northern Savings is hosting a number of gatherings in the communities that they serve.

The first was Monday evening in Terrace, with Prince Rupert's turn set for Wednesday at 7 PM at the Crest Hotel.

Following the reviews of financial performance and previews of what they have in mind for the future, there will be refreshments and door prizes for those in attendance.  Members will also be able to ask questions of Credit Union officials, learn more about some of the staffing changes at area branches and explore some of the financial opportunities that Northern Savings offers the Northwest.

Residents of Haida Gwaii will be next on the AGM tour, the meetings that had been previously scheduled for earlier this month had to be postponed due to the passing of a community member.

The rescheduled dates for Haida Gwaii members will be May 16 in Masset and May 17 in Queen Charlotte, those sessions take place at the branch locations in those communities.

For a preview of some of the financial review to be provided at the AGM's see the Northern Savings Credit Union 2016 Annual Report and 2016 Governance Report, both documents are  now available online here.

In addition to the overview, Credit Union members may wish to explore some of the recent job postings being offered at branches across the region.
