Annual Seafest Seniors Tea set for Friday

The annual salute to Prince Rupert's Seniors is fast approaching, with the Seafest Seniors Tea scheduled for Friday June 9th at the Highliner Plaza Hotel.

The popular event which launches the weekend long Seafest celebrations will take place from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, and is Open to residents and visiting Seniors with a general Admission of 4 dollars for the afternoon.

The highlight of the annual gathering is the presentation of plaques for the new 75/50 Club members, recognizing their long attachment and contribution to the community.

Membership in the Club is for those who are at least 75 years of age and have lived in Prince Rupert for 50 years or more. Members of the 75/50 Club receive Free Admission to the annual Seafest Seniors Tea.

The annual event is organized by the Prince Rupert Special Events Society and co-sponsored by the City of Prince Rupert.

Seafest weekend takes place from Friday, June 10 to Sunday, June 13th.
