BC Wildfire campaign
British Columbia's Credit Union network is supporting the call for assistance for those affected by wildfires in British Columbia, with the Central Credit Union not only offering support to credit unions forced to close in evacuation areas, but to match Red Cross donations that have been made by their employees.

Among the list of Credit Unions that have joined in on the assistance is the Prince Rupert based Northern Savings Credit Union, which in addition to the home office in Prince Rupert has branches on Haida Gwaii and in Terrace.

In addition to the support from British Columbia, Credit unions in Ontario have also participated in the donation program.

Members and staff of British Columbia's credit union network can make use of this link to the donation form that was launched today.

If you are not a member of a Credit Union, you can access the Red Cross donation site here.

More background on the Credit Union assistance can be found here.

More notes related to the state of emergency across the province and the fire lines of the Cariboo/Highway 97 corridor can be reviewed here.
