A volunteer based group called the The Postmen will be setting up in the Moose Hall over the next three days to collect a range of items for those that have been impacted by the growing number of wildfire emergency situations across Northwest British Columbia.

The collection sessions are set for the following hours at the Moose Hall at the corner of First Avenue West and Seventh Street.

Monday -- 5 PM to 9 PM
Tuesday -- 5 PM to 9 PM
Wednesday -- 5 PM to 9PM

A community to community volunteer organization The Postmen,
will be at the Moose Hall over the next three days
collecting donations of supplies for those fighting the wildfires
across Northwestern British Columbia

As well, the group offers up a  contact name and phone number  (Kristen Frank  250-925-4949) to set up a time if the collection times do not work with your schedule and to find out more information about their plans in Prince Rupert.

A posting on Facebook outlines that the collection of supplies is for the use of evacuees, volunteer firefighters and frontline personnel in Burns Lake, Fraser Lake and points east.

You can review the list of items that they are seeking from this item posted here.

As we outlined last week, First Nation communities across the Northwest have been quick to respond to the situation in Telegraph Creek, providing both monetary assistance and supplies for those impacted by the wildfire.

Terrace's firefighters, Mr. Mike's and city council members are joining forces Thursday in that community, hosting a fundraiser the Terrace Fire Hall to help raise donations towards the relief efforts for Telegraph Creek.
