That understanding has been lacking over the last eight years, with far, far too much focus on the mayor and his personal narrative, especially through his social media feed. The councillors all too often have come across as marginal and not very engaged, which has not been good. I did not vote for Herb last time he ran, but Hans has a good point: Herb understands the office of mayor and the role of the council, and that is especially important this time around.
