It's always one of the more anticipated events on the political calendar whenever an election is underway on the North Coast, whether it's municipal, federal or in this case a provincial campaign.
Heading towards Election Day on the 14th of May, North Coast residents will be able to learn more about the local candidates and their platforms, when they gather at the Lester Centre on Wednesday, April 24th for the All Candidates Debate.
The start time for next Wednesday's debate, hosted by the Prince Rupert Chamber of Commerce is 7 PM.
The All Candidates session provides one of the few opportunities in a short campaign, for local residents to pose their questions to the candidates to hear their answers on the concerns of the North Coast.
With any number of topics available to local residents, it could provide some valuable information to North Coast voters as to what each candidate has to offer on some of the key issues of the riding.
The three candidates on the North Coast running in the May 14th election are Councillor Jennifer Rice for the NDP, Hondo Arendt for the Green Party and Judy Fraser for the BC Liberal Party.
The Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce posted an item on the debate to its website today to advise of the event.

***Update***: The Debate has been postponed until May 2nd, due to the hospitalization of Liberal Candidate Judy Fraser.
