A remarkable weekend of warmth and sun which stretched into Monday, will unfortunately come to an end as we move through the midway portion of June.
Temperatures in the mid twenties and sunshine were a welcome visitor to the North Coast from Friday through to Monday morning.
Yes a week late for Seafest, but for those that were looking for a spectacular launch to the Cruise ship season, this weekend was about as good as they could ever hope for.
For three days, Rupertites had something to talk about when it came to the weather and the words "sure is wet out today" never entered the vocabulary, more than a few however found opportunity to comment that it "was sure a hot one today!"
However, the short lived heatwave Prince Rupert style will now come to an end, the long range forecast for the North Coast is calling for clouds, showers and periods of rain at times through the next seven days or so.
