A small earthquake served as a reminder of the active seismic nature of Haida Gwaii on Tuesday, as a
4.0 magnitude temblor was reported at 4:26 PM.
The quake was situated 113 km South of Masset, 177 km SW of Prince Rupert. The depth was listed as 19 kilometres.
No damage was reported from the afternoon quake and
no tsunami warning was generated from the event.
