Rupert Runners to hold annual general meeting
Running enthusiasts of the North Coast are reminded that the Rupert Runners will be holding their annual general meeting on Tuesday, December 3rd, a 7:30 gathering in the Rockwell Room of the Crest Hotel.
At that time they will be looking to fill a number of executive positions, as well as posts for Learn To Run Trainers and Race Directors.
Some of the positions to be filled are key to the club's success and if they don't find the required number of volunteers to fill them, a number of the popular races on the local club calendar could be in jeopardy.
Among those potentially at risk, the Skeena River Relay, Crest Glory Days run, Rupert Half plus 9 and the Cannery Road Race.
All are races that have become fixtures in the community, and are events that are not only anticipated by local runners, but by those from other communities as well.
All those that attend the December 3rd meeting (with the exception of the Executive) are entitled to enter the draw for a free one year membership, which is a twenty dollar value, as well as receive free entry fees for the 2014 race season for all club races, except for the Skeena River Relay.
More information on the club, as well as contact numbers for it can be found on their website.
