Severe Weather impacts BC Ferries schedule for Saturday
The Pacific frontal system currently coming ashore on the North Coast is making for some scheduling challenges for BC Ferries.
As of this morning, Environment Canada had issued a number of Marine Warnings for all offshore regions of the North Coast, Mid Coast and Haida Gwaii.
The anticipated arrival of the Northern Expedition in Port Hardy at 11 am has been delayed and with that inclement weather providing the backdrop, Saturday morning the Ferry Service outlined the nature of a sailing delay for tonight's 6 PM sailing of the Northern Expedition out of Port Hardy to Prince Rupert.
The revised schedule for Saturday now has the Northern Expedition tentatively set to sail from Port Hardy at 9 PM tonight, though that departure time is weather dependent.
You can access further information on BC Ferries sailing times and delays from the Service Notices portion of their website.
