The next step in review of the plans from the BG Group for their proposed LNG plant on Ridley Island will take place in April, as the International energy company holds Open Houses in both Prince Rupert and Port Edward.
Notice of the two Open Houses was released today, with Port Edward the host of the first of the sessions on April 2nd at the Port Edward Community Centre. That session runs from 5 until 8 PM.
Prince Rupert's Open House takes place the next day, an April 3rd session planned for the North Coast Convention Centre on 1st Avenue West. As with the Port Edward meeting, the Prince Rupert session is set for three hours from 5 until 8.
Along with the announcement of the two Open Houses, there are now some details available on the process ahead for Public Comment on the Prince Rupert LNG proposal.
Those that wish to comment on the project are required to make their submission of comments by the end of the day of April 22nd.
Details of the process and how to contact the Economic Assessment Office can be found here.
