Blog watching week ending March 9
As part of a weekly feature on the blog, every Sunday we offer up this weeks recap of the top five items viewed over the course of the last seven days.
Included in the countdown, we will provide links to the articles in question, offering up with one click of the mouse, those items of the week that you may have missed.
This week, the results from the Chamber of Commerce Achievement Awards led the way for most viewed item. As readers of the blog seemed quite interested in which local business establishments were creating some buzz in the community.
That was followed by a fair audience for the week long Provincial AA Senior Girls Basketball Tournament, as blog followers returned often to our anchor page for the latest of results.
Our early week review of MLA Jennifer Rice's contributions to the Legislature found a few interested readers following along through the week. With our item on the Sunday night fire that struck the old Commercial Hotel and Pub of interest to many as well.
Wrapping up the top five was our item of Friday which offered up a look at the sudden burst of media interest in developments in Kitimat and some of the concerns there that could migrate west once some of the economic plans for the North Coast get closer to development.
The week in review includes
Our top item of the week:
Chamber of Commerce Celebrates Achievement with Saturday's Gala-- Results from last weekend's Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce Awards proved to be the most popular item of the last seven days. (posted March 3, 2014)
That item was followed by:

North Coast MLA rather quiet on LNG discussion in Legislature-- The early session absence of the North Coast MLA in the LNG discussion in the Legislature found a healthy audience through the week, (as did our item later in the week once the MLA had engaged in the debate) (posted March 3, 2014)
Commercial Pub Fire makes for the latest on the list of downtown fires -- With another pin to place on the downtown map, readers found our review of the Commercial Pub Fire of interest. (posted March 3, 2014)
