Northern Health Accepting Applications for Summit Residences
For Senior Citizens or those with a recognized disability, opportunities to make application for living accommodations at Summit Residences are now open.
The Assisted Living Complex in the region, located on Summit Avenue, provides independence, combined with a range of services for residents of the one bedroom self contained apartments.
Among those services that residents receive are two meals per day, participation in the Lifeline Emergency Response System, housekeeping and laundry service once a week and social and recreational activities at the Residence and in the community.
There are however, a few requirements for those interested in the assisted living complex.
They must be a Senior Citizen or a person with a recognized disability. Able to live independently but in need of assistance with daily activities such as meals, housekeeping and personal care.
They must be eligible for health care services in British Columbia, be able to make their own personal decisions about their care and assistance and not in need of constant access to professional he alt care.
All Applicants are required to meet with a Long Term Care Case Manager for an assessment prior to being accepted for the Assisted Living Program.
