NWCC highlights trades opportunities in video presentation

With the prospect of the energy sector growing across the region, Northwest Community College has found that their trades offerings are generating more and more interest.

 The current focus on the trades has seen registration numbers growing at NWCC and wait lists beginning to appear for the more popular industrial programs.

That interest on the expanding trades sector at NWCC has provided for the latest instalment in an online feature known as BC People, an industry driven information portal that highlights economic developments across the province.

Audio versions of the project can be heard on a number of radio stations across the province, providing a glimpse into the developments in the resource and industrial sectors.

The NWCC video presentation highlights the heavy equipment operator program available through the college, as well as many of the other assorted trades.

The focus on the trades programs reviews the current demand for graduates, with a look at the forecast of even greater opportunity to come in an expanded industrial sector.
