Prince Rupert Curling Club offers a test drive for would be curlers
The Prince Rupert Curling Club is opening the doors Saturday night to those that may not be familiar with the game or for veteran curlers who may wish to get in a game before the upcoming season starts.
Saturday they are hosting an Octobeerfest and Curling Night at the Seal Cove curling club, where those who may want to try out the sport can check things out, with no cost for the curling festivities of the evening. Beginners to the sport are welcome and equipment will be provided for those that come out to check out what it's all about.
And the rocks won't be the only thing on the ice on Saturday, joining the Curling Club in the evening's celebration will be The Wheelhouse Brewing Company, the local craft brewer will have some of their product on ice at what are called "rock bottom prices".
The evening offers a chance for those that may not yet be familiar with the local brewers ales and lagers to sample the popular brands available at their Cow Bay location.
As well, as an introduction to curling and fine brews, participants will also be entered in a draw for 20 minute flight-seeing tour provided by Ocean Pacific Air.
