A moderate earthquake was noted by the USGS this morning, rumbling under the Pacific Ocean some 765 kilometres off the coast from Prince Rupert, the day's earth movement was not noticeable in any region of the North Coast, or Haida Gwaii.
Sensors observed that the quake at 6:15 this morning,
registering at 4.3 on the Richter scale it had a depth of 10 km when it struck, No Tsunami Warning was generated by the event.
Haida Gwaii was the closest land mass located towards the quake site, still some 648 kilometres away from the epicentre of the morning jolt.
