Sarah Robin wraps up her UNBC Basketball career tonight in Kelowna |
Ms. Robin and her team mates wrap up their 2014-15 season tonight in Kelowna, a no doubt bittersweet moment for the long time member of the UNBC program.
Ms. Robin, who has captained the T wolves through this transition year will be graduating from UNBC this year, bringing a close to her CIS career, her experience as a member of T Wolves over the years called on to help the very young squad adjust to the higher level of competition at University ball.
Last weekend Ms. Robin logged lengthy minutes of playing time, finding her range as the team's leading scorer as part of her home court farewell.
The T Wolves have struggled at times on the court this year, some early season losses taking their toll on a quest for a run for the CIS title in the Explorer Division.
UNBC kept things close in a Thursday night showdown with the UBC Okanagan Heat, coming up just a little short in a 66-60 loss, with Ms. Robin on the court for 35 minutes and picking up 26 points.
Her second last game an indication as to her importance to the T Wovles through this year as she took charge of the play on the court and did all she could to take the team into the win column.
She takes to the court for the final time this evening with an 8 PM start, Residents of the North Coast can tune in for the weekend series from Kelowna through the Canadawest online portal
