He noted that there have been some concerns raised regarding the situation and asked that the city begin to address the problem with little delay.
The observation gave opportunity for the City Manager to provide a bit of a preview as to the city's plans for road maintenance in the near future, with Mr. Long noting that the city has a plan in place for a fairly aggressive approach to some of the paving issues for the year ahead.
He advised that Council would be hearing more about that program in the weeks to come as the Engineering and Public Works department finalized their plans for the year ahead.
As for the shorter term concerns of the potholes, Corinne Bomben, the City's CFO outlined that the task of addressing the pothole issue is complaint driven.
Advising that if residents have a concern on the condition of roads in the city they should contact the Public Works Department, to make sure that they are aware of the problem and can dispatch a crew to take care of the situation.
