The first a fire reported at 4:35 AM in the 200 block of 7th Avenue East, the second incident was reported one hour later, located further down the same block with another vehicle fire in the 600 block of 7th East.
The third fire report was called in on June 14th, again in the early hours of the morning with both the RCMP and Fire Department attending to a single vehicle fire in the 1000 block of Chamberlain.
Three separate vehicle fires are under investigation by the Prince Rupert RCMP and Prince Rupert Fire Rescue |
Two of the fires have been determined as having been deliberately set, while the damage to the third vehicle was such, that investigators have yet to be able to determine the cause of the fire.
The RCMP however believe that the the incidents are not isolated events and are asking that residents remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity, particularly events that may take place in the early hours of the morning
