With Environment Canada issuing a Special Weather Statement outlining the timetable of nasty weather set to arrive in the region for Thursday and Friday.
The notice was posted to the Environment Canada website at just before 2 PM on Wednesday.
For the North Coast and Haida Gwaii the strongest of the approaching winds will be in the overnight period of Wednesday and into Thursday morning, with strong winds to continue through Thursday afternoon and onward towards Friday.
