Blog Watching, week ending January 17, 2016
Oil, LNG and developments at Ridley Terminals made for a fair share of attention on the week for blog readers, with a trip south for the Rainmakers and Council's decisions on the Community Enhancement Grants also making it into the top five reads of the week.
North Coast residents can take one large industrial project off of the prospects list, as word of Pacific Future Energy's decision to make Kitimat the site of its proposed oil refinery provided for the most views of the week.
A story out of Ottawa related to concerns from the area's MP Nathan Cullen over appointments to Ridley Terminals, spawned a secondary story about some changes in management and a possible plan to diversify the commodities shipped out of the North coast terminal.
The Charles Hays Rainmakers were on the road to a high profile tournament in Vancouver, with a number of readers returning back through the weekend for updated scores.
The Malaysian energy company Petronas offered a glimpse into its timeline when it comes to the Pacific NorthWest LNG project at Lelu Island and our notes on a vigorous discussion at City Council on the nature of funding Community Enhancement Grants in the City proved a popular item as well on the week.
However, the top item of the week turned towards an announcement from Pacific Future Energy, the Vancouver based proponent for an Oil Terminal in the Northwest and where they plan to develop their project.
