Basketball season relaunches in 2016 with some high tempo competition coming to town, as the Charles Hay Rainmakers prepare to welcome Richmond's McRoberts Secondary to the North Coast for a three game series this weekend.
The McRoberts squad makes the trek north with a 1-1 record in competitive Richmond High School Basketball league, a circuit that features some familiar names for Rainmaker fans from past trips south and tournament action over the years.
The road trip will provide the Rainmakers with another valuable opportunity to gauge their compete level with some of the larger schools of the British Columbia High School listings, as well as to provide local basketball fans with a chance to get a look at the home town squad and how it is coming together for the 2016 run towards the Provincials.
In recent weeks the Rainmakers have continued to find their place in the weekly listings of the Vancouver Province, the most recent placement finding Charles Hays in the middle of the pack of the Top for British Columbia.
The three game series starts up on Friday evening starting at 7:30 PM
Two games are scheduled for Saturday with tip off times of 1 PM and 7:30 PM.
All games take place at the Charles Hays Gym on Prince Rupert Boulevard
