Air Canada's summer schedule made for much interest this week, with word on an additional flight to come in a few months time, while the Prince Rupert Port Authority and Prince Rupert Rampage teaming up in aid of the Salvation Army also caught much attention on the week.
Another setback for the LNG development plans of the Northwest was announced this week and received significant attention, with word that Shell Canada is going to delay their plans for a terminal project in Kitimat.
The NDP claimed two by-election spots this week, sending two new MLA's to Victoria, one in Melanie Mark with some family connections to the Northwest and Mayor Lee Brain was on the road this week, spending some time in the Nation's capital for discussions with Federal officials.
However, the top item of the week was from the world of aviation and some welcome news for summer travellers in and out of Prince Rupert.
