Blog Watching: Week ending, September 18, 2016
Provincial politics led the way to the top of our list of five top stories this week with the neighbours to the east making news across BC as Premier Clark arrived in the Northwest to introduce Haisla Chief Councillor Ellis Ross as the Liberal candidate for next Springs provincial election.
The Port of Prince Rupert also claimed some readers this week with their announcement of a study into the prospects for a break bulk port facility on Kaien Island to the north of the Grain Terminal.
Food was on the mind of many readers this week, with a large spike in interest related to the opening of the Coastal Cafe, a new dining option for city residents.
Our notes on the reopening of a popular recreation trail also found some strong readership numbers this week, with the celebration of the Tall Trees Trail on Mount Hays climbing into the top five items on the blog this week.
The review of the list of five wraps up with a look at the latest job opportunity at the City of Prince Rupert's Citywest operations, as the communication company seeks applications for a member of their marketing team.
