It's back ... the brief respite from the cold winds of the North has come to an end, as Environment Canada returns Prince Rupert and the North Coast coastal sections to the listings of communities under an
Arctic Outflow Warning.
The return of the strong outflow winds and severely cold wind chills came with the Sunday morning update to the Environment Canada forecast. With the winds expected to increase to 90 km/h through the next few days, the wind chill means that
overnight temperatures will feel like -25 degrees, with the outflow conditions anticipated to
continue through most of next week.
You can keep up to date on the latest conditions from the
North Coast Forecast from Environment Canada website.
