The Tournament is making its way toward the finals which take place Saturday when the champions will be crowned for another year, bringing to an end another successful celebration in Prince Rupert, highlighting the community's attachment to a sport that dominates the local scene.
Monday, February 20th, those that help to keep basketball one of the most popular of minor sports activities on the North Coast will meet for their Annual General Meeting.
As the Board, executive along interested parents and guardians prepare to chart the course for the Prince Rupert Minor Basketball Association at their gathering in the Multi-Purpose Room at Charles Hays Secondary.
The meeting which runs from 6 to 7 PM and will address a number of items from the season just completed, as well as to look ahead to the work ahead for the 2017 season which will start in September.
It's through the efforts of the volunteer base that help out, whether through organizing league activities or coaching the youngsters on the court, that make the Civic Centre the place to be each Saturday and Sunday in the fall and early winter to watch for the future ANBT and Rainmaker players of tomorrow.
If you have some time to spare, they could always use some help and would welcome your involvement.
You can catch up on last season's developments from the PRMBA Facebook page here.
