After a tough time in Terrace, the Prince Rupert Rampage head to Cariboo Country
In sports, the mantra is to put the last game behind you as fast as possible and that's no doubt where the Prince Rupert Rampage have put last weeks result against the Terrace River Kings which saw the host team load the net in a Saturday night shellacking.
The 9-1 defeat saw the River Kings take an early lead and then build towards a fight filled third towards the final score, a result that will no doubt make for conversation when the two teams next meet up, whether on the ice, or in a hotel lobby, as both teams are making their way to the Cariboo this weekend.
For now however, the Rampage need to turn their focus ahead to the two key CIHL match ups this weekend, with the Rupert squad loading the bus up for the long trek to Quesnel and Williams Lake, a journey that can take its toll as the miles roll by.
The weekend starts in Quesnel on Saturday night when the Kangaroos host the Rampage for a 7:30 start.
Once the final whistle blows for that contest, the Rampage will be off to Williams Lake, where the Stampeders await them for a Sunday afternoon showdown at 1:30.
The trip into the interior could change the landscape of the CIHL standings by Monday morning, currently the Rampage are in third place, five points behind league leading Quesnel and two above Williams Lake.
A sweep from the road trip would make for a significant push towards the top of the listings as the December schedule gets underway.
You can follow the progress of the Rampage through their Facebook page, twitter feed or website.
