Senior Boys Rainmakers roll into Victoria at Number Three in AA BC Basketball
The latest rankings for AA Senior Boys Basketball in British show no change for the Charles Hays Rainmakers, with Mel and Ryan Bishop's squad still holding strong at Number three in the province after Wednesday release.
It marks the third consecutive week that the Makers' have hosted the three spot and they take that ranking into action this weekend in Victoria as they take to the court at Belmont High School as part of the Belmont Rich Goulet Honourary Tournament.
The Victoria area tournament features six visiting squads and two Belmont teams as they head towards the Friday Tip Off for Game Number One.
Joining the Rainmakers in the Provincial capital will be Chemainus, R.A. McMath, Cowichan, Nanaimo and John Barsby.
The Rainmaker's take on the Barsby squad in their first game set for Friday afternoon at 2:15.
Prior to the Two day tournament, the Rainmakers will take on Nanaimo in an exhibition game on Thursday evening, making for a reunion for Prince Rupert basketball, with the Nanaimo squad coached by former Rainmaker Jacob Thom.
The Rainmakers will be aiming to be one of two last teams standing for the Tournament Finale on Saturday afternoon at 5PM.

Over on the Junior Side of Rainmaker Basketball, Kevin Sawka's Junior Boys are also celebrating another week of recognition, with the Junior Boys receiving an Honourable mention from the January 17th Rankings from BC Jr Boys Basketball.
The Next rankings for Junior boys comes out on January 31st.
The Junior Boys Rainmakers will look to boost their chances for moving upwards in those rankings this weekend, as the team hosts their annual Coastal Clash tournament at the Charles Hays Gymnasium on Friday and Saturday.

The two Charles Hays girls teams take to the road this weekend with the Junior Girls heading to Prince George and another tournament appearance, this one as part of the Duchess Park Provincial Qualifier event.
The Junior Girls start the tournament on Friday with a 5:30 match up with Seaquam, the remainder of their time in Prince George will be determined by how they fare in that opening game to weekend play.

The Senior Girls will be heading to Terrace for a play day at Caledonia, they take on BVCS at 10:30 and Smithers at 1:30.
